OPEN LECTURES HELD WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF FOREIGN EXPERTS AND SCHOLARS AT IUTET

As part of efforts to expand international scientific and educational cooperation, strengthen academic ties, exchange best practices, and internationalize the educational process, the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan held open lectures featuring international guests from the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.

The sessions were attended by specialists and representatives of scientific and educational institutions and international organizations, including Aigul Meymanovna Abduvalieva, Financial Director of the Civic Engagement for Development project; Zarylbek Rubenovich Abduvaliev, Managing Partner of Kreston Bishkek LLC from the Kyrgyz Republic; and Yana Sergeevna Testina, Head of the Department of Regional Studies and International Tourism and Associate Professor at Saint Petersburg State University, Russian Federation.

The open lectures were organized for students pursuing various academic specializations at the University. The sessions addressed key issues related to the development of the modern economy, financial management, banking, sustainable development, international tourism, and the application of innovative technologies in economic and management activities.

In particular, Aigul Meymanovna Abduvalieva conducted a session for third-year students majoring in Taxation at the Faculty of Finance. She focused on the financial management of international projects, ensuring transparency in financial operations, budget planning, and the role of financial control mechanisms in promoting sustainable development.

Meanwhile, Zarylbek Rubenovich Abduvaliev delivered an open lecture entitled “Islamic Banks in the Kyrgyz Republic” for second-year students majoring in Banking Management. He provided insights into the specific features of Islamic banking, alternative financing mechanisms, the principles of profit and risk sharing, and the experience of the Kyrgyz Republic in developing Islamic financial services.

During her sessions with students majoring in Economic Geography, Yana Sergeevna Testina examined the economic development of countries, globalization processes, regional and international integration, and the role of geographical factors in shaping economic relations and developing the tourism sector.

Special attention during the open lectures was given to the use of modern teaching methods, the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical experience, the development of analytical thinking, and the enhancement of students’ professional skills.

The sessions provided students with an opportunity to learn about international practices in finance, banking, economics, and tourism, as well as to exchange views with foreign experts on current issues affecting the development of these sectors.

It is worth noting that organizing such open lectures with the participation of foreign scholars and experts is an important means of improving the quality of education, strengthening international cooperation, broadening students’ scientific perspectives, and preparing competitive professionals who meet the requirements of the modern labor market.

As part of its policy of internationalizing education and science, the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan continues to implement practical measures to attract foreign scholars and specialists, organize open lectures and academic sessions, facilitate the exchange of scientific expertise, and expand mutually beneficial cooperation with higher education institutions and international organizations.
