DEPARTMENT OF STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT

The Department of Strategic Development and Quality Management is a structural unit of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, established in 2023.

The primary goal of the Department of Strategic Development and Quality Management is to ensure the implementation of the Development Strategy of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan up to 2040, as well as to develop and implement a quality management system in accordance with international standards.

The Department of Strategic Development and Quality Management performs the following tasks:

  • supporting the implementation of the university’s development strategy;
  • participating in the development and implementation of programs, projects, and strategic plans for the development of the university and its structural units;
  • ensuring coordination and collaboration among the university’s structural units for the realization of their strategic plans and programs;
  • analyzing the development programs of structural units and their alignment with the university’s strategic development goals;
  • formulating university policies in the area of educational quality management and coordinating the implementation of the adopted policies across the university’s structures;
  • organizing an effective educational service quality management system;
  • monitoring the implementation of the university’s quality management policy;
  • assisting the university’s structural units in leveraging opportunities to improve the quality of their activities;
  • enhancing the competitiveness of university students and graduates in both domestic and international markets;
  • shaping a positive image of the university;
  • monitoring indicators and quality processes in the university’s structural units;
  • developing internal standards for the education quality system, providing informational and analytical support to the quality management system at the university;
  • implementing a quality management system, developing proposals for introducing modern methods and tools for quality assurance at the university;
  • conducting internal audits and self-assessments in the university’s structural units and preparing reports for the management;
  • conducting surveys on the adaptation of first-year students to the educational process;
  • conducting surveys of second- and third-year students on their satisfaction with the educational process at the university;
  • conducting surveys of faculty members to take measures to improve conditions and enhance the quality of education;
  • preparing the university’s quality management system for external audits in accordance with national and international standards;
  • implementing mechanisms for control, measurement, and analysis of quality performance in the university’s structural units;
  • providing consultative support for the development of quality management methods and the improvement of the university’s quality system;
  • enhancing the qualifications of university staff on issues of educational quality management;
  • collaborating and exchanging experiences in the field of educational service quality with other educational institutions.

DEPARTMENT OF STRATEGIC PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

The Department of Strategic Planning and Development Programs is a structural unit within the Department of Strategic Development and Quality Management at the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.

The key goal of the Department of Strategic Planning and Development Programs is to ensure the implementation of the Development Strategy of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan through 2040.

Key activities of the department include:

  • developing and refining the university’s strategic management framework, including proposing changes to optimize the organizational structure;
  • leading the creation and implementation of the university’s overall strategies, development programs, strategic plans for individual units and directions, as well as other key documents that define the institution’s growth trajectory;
  • providing support to institutes, faculties, and other structural units in formulating strategies, strategic plans, and related documents;
  • facilitating effective collaboration across university departments, including administrative, academic, research, and innovation units, to align strategic planning efforts and achieve the university’s strategic priorities, goals, and performance targets;
  • delivering informational and analytical support for the realization of university strategies, comprehensive development programs, strategic plans, and related initiatives;
  • enhancing the effectiveness of strategic implementation, monitoring the progress of strategic plans and programs, and coordinating efforts to meet the university’s growth priorities, goals, and key performance indicators;
  • compiling and presenting analytical insights to the university’s leadership on core operational areas to enhance decision-making, planning, and organizational efficiency;
  • participating in seminars, conferences, and professional forums focused on strategic planning and institutional development.

DEPARTMENT OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT

The Department of Quality Management, as a structural unit of the university, is responsible for the targeted management and monitoring of the quality across all university activities, with a particular focus on educational quality. The department operates in alignment with the unified state policy on education and works to ensure excellence in the university’s educational processes.

The department collaborates closely with other key areas of the university, including educational process organization, strategic development, international relations, research and innovation, institutes, faculties, departments, and other structural units.

Key activities of the Department of Quality Management include:

  • organizing and conducting initiatives aimed at managing and monitoring the quality of education and the overall educational process;
  • planning, monitoring, and improving key performance indicators that ensure the effectiveness and quality of the educational process;
  • overseeing the timely preparation of exam schedules for both on-campus and distance learning formats;
  • providing methodological support for the use of information technologies in the educational process and monitoring the proficiency and skill levels of faculty and students in using these tools;
  • conducting seminars aimed at enhancing the quality of theoretical, practical, laboratory, and independent study sessions based on the analysis and assessment of educational quality;
  • preparing and submitting reports on the results of quality monitoring and assessment to the university’s leadership;
  • developing action plans to address deficiencies in the educational process and enhance the quality of education;
  • regular participation in faculty teaching sessions to analyze and improve the quality of education;
  • monitoring the development of educational materials, textbooks, teaching and learning complexes, visual aids, and presentation materials by faculty;
  • analyzing and implementing best practices from higher education institutions in tajikistan and abroad to optimize the organization of the educational process.
