The State Institution «Republican Center of Advanced Training of Tourism and Services workers» under the State Institution «International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan» operates on the basis of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Cultural Code, the Labor Code, the Law on Education, the Law on Continuing Education, presidential decrees and resolutions, the Charter of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan (approved by Government Decree No. 199 dated March 30, 2024), and the Charter of the Republican Center (approved by Government Decree No. 660 dated December 26, 2024).

The Center operates under License No. T-IF 0005802 issued by the Agency for Supervision in the Sphere of Education and Science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on December 3, 2024, which grants the right to conduct educational activities.

The Center offers professional development courses for personnel working in tourism and service sectors, as well as for instructors from vocational, secondary, and higher education institutions in 16 specialties, including tour guide, tour expert, travel agent, tour operator, mountaineer, waiter, hotel worker, national cuisine chef, confectioner, pastry baker, food Salesperson, national handicrafts, seamstress, hairdresser (face, hair, nails), passenger transport conductor, pedagogical skills.

Additionally, short-term courses lasting 1, 2, or 3 months are offered in 21 professions, such as tour guide-excursionist, travel tour guide, travel agent, tour operator, mountaineer, waiter, hotel staff, national cuisine chef, confectioner, pastry baker, national handicrafts, seamstress, hairdresser (cosmetologist), food salesperson, Russian language, English language, German language, Chinese language, basic computer skills, treasurer 1C Accountant

Goals and Objectives of the Center

– Organize and conduct professional development and retraining courses for teachers of vocational, secondary, and higher education institutions, as well as for workers in tourism companies, hotels, restaurants, and other service industries.

– Develop an educational system, improve pedagogical skills, study and implement domestic and international best practices, and introduce modern teaching methods.

– Meet the growing demand for new knowledge among students and professionals in the areas of tourism, pedagogy, service culture, and hospitality.

– Develop and publish educational modules, programs, teaching aids, and curricula in accordance with established procedures.

– Conduct educational-methodological and scientific-research work according to the approved plan.

– Provide methodological support to instructors to enhance their teaching skills and service quality.

– Organize and conduct open lessons, approve lecture materials, and ensure the Center is equipped with necessary educational materials and technical aids.

– Gather and respond to feedback and proposals from instructors and staff to improve the quality and content of training programs, seminars, literature, and curricula.

Main areas of activity

– Organize long-term and short-term training courses, internships, seminars, scientific-practical conferences, and other events for professional development in tourism and services.

– Develop and implement training programs in line with industry standards and requirements.

– Adopt and implement best practices and innovative educational technologies from both local and international institutions.

– Collaborate with the University’s departments and administration on educational and scientific initiatives.

– Partner with institutions of vocational, secondary, and higher education, as well as tourism companies and service enterprises, to develop training programs.

– Cooperate with international and non-governmental organizations to conduct training courses and workshops.

– Promote the study of international best practices, scientific innovations, and educational reforms.

– Offer free and paid training in computer skills, ICT, foreign languages, etc., under mutual agreements.

– Conduct short-term training courses based on tailored curricula and programs.

– Host seminars, workshops, master-classes, symposiums, lectures, educational tours, consultations, and conferences.

– Issue certificates and diplomas to participants of professional development and retraining programs, including those in collaboration with international organizations.

– Provide training participants with technical tools and learning materials.

– Create or collaborate in developing production units to manufacture training materials, educational tools, and publish educational/scientific literature.

Strategic perspective

  • The Center plans to rebrand as the Republican Institute for Advanced Training in Tourism and Services, taking a leading role in solving issues in the tourism and service sectors.
  • It will establish partnerships with domestic and international educational and research institutions, and actively pursue grant and investment projects based on international best practices.
  • In this regard, the Center invites partners and stakeholders from the tourism and service industries for cooperation.
