SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL REFORMS: THE PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS ON THE EVE OF 2025

On December 28, 2024, The Founder of the Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, his excellency Emomali Rahmon delivered a comprehensive address that outlined the country’s vision for the upcoming year and beyond, centered on reinforcing social reforms, promoting a green economy, and embracing digital transformation. We have to admit that with such lack of resources and in a significant mountainous area, our country shows excellent results in economic growth. Of course, all these results are thanks to the clear and pragmatic policy of our esteemed president. This message, delivered before both national and international audiences, set forth a clear trajectory for the nation’s progress as it strives to meet its social and economic goals. The address highlighted the successes achieved so far while acknowledging the challenges that remain, underscoring the need for collective resolve, unity, and collaboration among every sector of society.
One of the most significant elements of the address is the emphasis on the President’s own hard work and dedication, having guided the country through challenging economic conditions and pressing social demands. Under his leadership, a series of reforms have been introduced to strengthen public services, stabilize fiscal health, and widen opportunities for citizens from all walks of life. The President’s commitment to inclusive governance can be seen in regular consultations with experts, constructive legislative debates, and active engagement with local communities—efforts that help identify real-world problems and craft targeted solutions.
In promoting a green economy, the President stressed the importance of environmentally conscious policies and the expansion of clean energy infrastructure.
