The Department of Language and Culture

The Department of Language and Culture is considered one of the first departments of the University and is now functioning under the Faculty of Humanitarian-Pedagogical. This department was established based on the Department of Foreign Languages by the decision of the Academic Council of the Institute dated August 29, 2023, No. 1/9.9.

The Department of Language and Culture conducts its activities based on the requirements of the laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, “On Education,” “On Higher Professional Education and Professional Education After Higher Institutions,” “Model Regulations on Higher Professional Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan,” “Regulations of the Department of Higher Institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan,” and other normative legal documents in the field of education.

Since the establishment of the department, its teaching staff has set various goals and tasks related to teaching subjects of the department for the training of highly qualified personnel and has achieved them. Measures to enhance the professional qualifications of the teaching staff of the department encompass various aspects of the field of education, including:

 – the education and upbringing of students as a fundamental part of societal development;

 – conducting scientific, methodological, cultural, educational, and socio-political activities aimed at enhancing the professional qualifications of the teaching staff of the department and broadening the worldview and language proficiency of future specialists;

 – preparing textbooks, educational materials, and teaching aids for all specialties of the University;

 – increasing the level of students’ knowledge.

     Currently, Professor Khojaev Kurbon Tohirovich, Professor Kabirov Khurshed Shahbozovich, Associate Professors: Nazarov Kholnazar Davlatshoyevich, Amonova Muslima Nurovna, Sanginova Rakiba Inomovna, Najmiddinova Umriniso Saidalievna, Murodzoda Mukarrama Rajabali, Gurozov Jamshed Nurmahmadovich, and teachers: Yorova Zulaykho Habibulloevna, Shaknoza Tursunzoda, Tashripov Nasriddin Bahriddinovich are engaged in pedagogical activities. They strive daily to teach the language and culture of the Tajik nation to students and actively contribute to the development of science and education in Tajikistan, as well as to the training of highly qualified specialists who meet the requirements of the modern labor market.

     The department trains specialists in the following specialty:                 

     1-230109 (International Journalism)

     Graduates of this specialty can work worldwide, maintaining strong intercultural language connections.

Graduates who possess high specialized knowledge and relevant competencies can work in other fields that match their qualifications.

     Bachelors in this specialty are prepared for professional activities as international journalists, translators, and scientific researchers.
