A NEW JOINT INITIATIVE IN THE UK: INTERVIEW WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON (UCL)

On November 3, 2025, as part of their participation in the World Tourism Trade Fair (WTM 2025), representatives of higher education institutions from the Republic of Tajikistan held an important meeting with the leadership of University College London (UCL).
The delegation included Ubaidullo Asrorzoda, Rector of the International University of Tourism and Business of Tajikistan. The key goal of the meeting was to establish long-term and mutually beneficial inter-university cooperation.
During the talks, the parties comprehensively discussed high-level partnership issues, including the creation of joint educational programs, the involvement of faculty and researchers in joint scientific and innovative projects, the exchange of best practices in improving academic governance, and the implementation of student and faculty exchanges.
It is worth noting that UCL, with its over 200-year history, is one of the most renowned educational institutions in the UK, alongside leading international universities. This meeting is seen as the beginning of a new phase of partnership based on a cooperation agreement and will contribute to strengthening the university’s position in the international academic community.
