THE ROAD TO CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY: INTERVIEWS WITH HEADS OF STRUCTURAL UNITS

Continuing his working visit to London, UK, the Rector of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, along with his accompanying delegation—the Rectors of the S. Aini Tajik State Pedagogical University and the Nosir Khusrav Bokhtar State University—met with the leadership and representatives of the Central Asian Forum, as well as the leadership of the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and the Ancient Indian and Iranian Foundation at the University of Cambridge.

During the meeting, the heads of the country’s universities briefed the participants on the areas of activity and the scope of their cooperation.

A meeting was then held with Dr. Siddharth Saxena, Director of the Central Asian Forum.
It is worth noting that the Central Asian Forum is of particular importance in developing scientific and cultural ties with the countries of Central Asia. Therefore, the country’s highest professional and scientific institutions have the opportunity to play an effective role in collaborating with the Forum in implementing international research programs. The rectors of Tajik universities expressed satisfaction with the forum’s scientific activities and opportunities for cooperation, emphasizing their commitment to strengthening academic ties.
A meeting was also held with the leadership of the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge.
The Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge is one of the world’s leading academic centers for the study of the language, literature, history, culture, and sociology of Asia and the Middle East, boasting rich research resources and highly qualified international specialists.
During the meeting, issues of mutual cooperation between the parties were discussed, which will be carried out on the basis of a cooperation agreement and within the framework of the parties’ legal and regulatory framework.
During the visit to the University of Cambridge, a meeting was also held with Professor Almuth Hinz, Director of the Ancient India and Iran Foundation, and other representatives of the center. Thus, the meeting and discussion with the structural divisions of the University of Cambridge in the UK is an important step towards expanding academic and research ties between higher professional and scientific educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan and the University of Cambridge.
