On May 25, 2026, within the framework of the Third Economic Forum entitled “Sustainable Water Resource Management in the Context of Climate Change,” a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan and the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health.
The memorandum was signed in a ceremonial setting by the Rector of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Professor Ubaydullo Sattor Asrorzoda, and the Rector of the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health, Professor Kaveh Madani. The agreement provides a favorable foundation for the development of international cooperation in the fields of science, education, ecology, water resource management, and sustainable development.
During the signing ceremony, the parties emphasized that expanding international cooperation between leading scientific and educational institutions is of great importance for training highly qualified specialists, implementing joint scientific projects, and introducing advanced global practices.
According to the provisions of the memorandum, the parties may cooperate in the areas of faculty and student exchanges, implementation of joint research programs, organization of international conferences and forums, training of scientific personnel, development of joint projects on environmental protection and sustainable water resource management, as well as the establishment of professional development courses and innovative programs.
It was also noted that the signing of this important document will contribute to strengthening the international relations of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan and create new opportunities for enhancing scientific capacity and introducing modern technologies in the study of water, climate, and environmental issues.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, both parties expressed their readiness to effectively implement the provisions of the memorandum and further expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the future.
