General information about the Department of Economic Theory
The Department of Economic Theory of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of MUTPP was established in 1992 in the first days of the university’s functioning.
The Department of Economic Theory is considered one of the leading departments of the university in the process of training highly qualified specialists. The methodology-educational, scientific-research and political-educational activities of the department are carried out on the basis of the Charter of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, the Charter of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations and the work program of the department itself.
The Department of Economic Theory also conducts its educational activities on the basis of the Regulations of Higher Education Institutions, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The activities of the Department of Economic Theory correspond to international standards of educational activities and on this basis carry out educational, research, political and educational and other activities not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The department has 13 full-time employees, including 2 doctors of science, 8 candidates of science (associate professors), 1 senior lecturer and 2 department assistants.
