DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

The Department of International Relations at the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan is a structural unit established to facilitate and promote international cooperation in key areas such as academic activities, strategic development, scientific research, and innovation.

The department’s primary mission is to organize and coordinate the university’s participation in international cooperation programs, aimed at enhancing the quality of specialist training, implementing student mobility initiatives, improving faculty qualifications, conducting joint research and educational projects, implementing dual degree programs, and managing projects and grants. These efforts contribute to raising the university’s profile on the global stage.

Main activities of the Department of International Relations:

  • contributing to the development and implementation of the university’s international relations strategy to enhance global engagement and competitiveness;
  • establishing and fostering effective, mutually beneficial collaborations with leading international educational institutions and research centers;
  • developing and executing bilateral and multilateral cooperation frameworks in the fields of education and scientific research;
  • coordinating and managing the university’s involvement in international inter-university associations to strengthen institutional networks and partnerships;
  • organizing and facilitating international conferences, seminars, and other academic events to promote cross-cultural scholarly discourse;
  • assisting academic units in implementing internationally focused educational programs, ensuring compliance with global standards;
  • promoting and supporting student participation in academic mobility programs to foster international exposure and intercultural competence;
  • facilitating opportunities for faculty members to engage in professional development programs abroad, thereby enhancing academic quality and pedagogical practices;
  • negotiating and formalizing agreements with educational and research institutions, international organizations, and global partners to advance the university’s strategic objectives;
  • providing support in securing international research and educational grants to strengthen institutional research capacities and promote innovation;
  • attracting international scholars, students, and professionals to participate in study, research, and capacity-building programs at the university, contributing to the institution’s internationalization efforts.

CENTER FOR JOINT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The Center for Joint Educational Programs is an integral structural unit of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, primarily focused on enhancing international collaboration and facilitating the implementation of joint educational programs with foreign higher education institutions.

Main activities of the Center for Joint Educational Programs:

  • organizing and coordinating interdepartmental efforts within the university to ensure the effective implementation of joint educational programs and dual degree programs with international partner universities;
  • identifying strategic priorities and developing proposals to advance joint educational program initiatives;
  • providing organizational and advisory support to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students in matters related to academic mobility under joint educational programs;
  • preparing agreements for the execution of joint educational programs and coordinating the prerequisites for the academic mobility of undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students in collaboration with partner universities;
  • offering informational, advisory, and methodological support to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students participating in joint educational programs;
  • aligning curricula and academic plans to ensure the effective and consistent implementation of joint educational programs;
  • conducting continuous monitoring and evaluation of the implementation process of joint educational programs within the university to ensure quality standards and successful outcomes.

DEPARTMENT OF INVESTMENT PROGRAMS AND PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

The Department of Investment Programs and Project Implementation is established to facilitate the development and execution of investment programs and projects. It performs the following functions:

  • planning the involvement of the university’s structural units in the development and implementation of investment programs and projects;
  • participating in grant competitions;
  • facilitating the active engagement of faculty and students in competitions and grants aimed at developing innovative projects to attract investment;
  • overseeing the documentation process for the university’s participation in scientific, educational, creative, and innovative programs and projects, as well as securing grants;
  • providing informational, advisory, and methodological support to faculty and students during the preparation of grant proposals;
  • coordinating the university’s relationships with investment funds and other entities that finance research, staff development, and institutional growth;
  • offering assistance and methodological support in preparing applications for investment programs and grant acquisitions;
  • monitoring and processing information related to projects and grants.

DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AFFAIRS AND ACADEMIC MOBILITY

The Department of International Student Affairs and Academic Mobility operates in accordance with the University Charter and is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and oversight of all educational and extracurricular activities involving international students, as well as the facilitation of academic mobility with domestic higher education institutions.

Primary functions of the Department of International Student Affairs and Academic Mobility:

  • providing expert consultation to faculty and students on academic mobility opportunities, including participation in short-term seminars and courses abroad;
  • developing and disseminating informational materials and presentations related to academic mobility programs;
  • representing the university at international seminars and meetings to promote academic mobility;
  • preparing and ensuring the timely submission of documentation for candidates participating in academic mobility programs abroad;
  • compiling and analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of the university’s scientific, methodological, and international collaborations;
  • designing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency of work with international students and academic mobility programs;
  • managing the documentation processes associated with international student affairs and academic mobility activities;
  • identifying and establishing partnerships with universities and international organizations to enhance academic mobility opportunities;
  • formulating proposals for integrating innovative technologies and contemporary pedagogical methodologies into the educational process.
