RESOLUTION INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL CONFERENCE ON “THE PLACE AND ROLE OF TOURISM IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY: SCIENTIFIC FEATURES OF THE STUDY OF TOURISM ACTIVITY AND ASSESSMENT OF ITS IMPACT ON MACROECONOMIC INDICATORS”
On February 20, 2025 in the National Library of Tajikistan on the initiative of the Research Institute of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan held an international scientific-practical conference in cooperation with the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Committee on Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on the theme “the place and role of tourism in the development of the national economy: scientific features of the study of tourism activity and assessment of its impact on macroeconomic indicators.
At the conference, along with the participation of domestic scientists and specialists, as well as from the countries of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation, Germany, Malaysia, Uzbekistan made presentations and presented their ideas on the development of tourism, which will contribute to the further development of regional tourism, including the commissioning of tourism infrastructure.
From the presented speeches and reports, the following research-based recommendations of scientific and practical importance were presented:
1. Organizing greater accessibility of the republic to attract foreign tourists by presenting more tourism opportunities, mobilizing scientists, researchers and tourism companies to participate in international events;
2. Activating domestic tourists to increase the contribution of tourism to the development of the national economy through advertising;
3. Improving the condition of existing tourism infrastructure and activating unexplored tourism resources through statistical research and evaluation of tourism facilities;
4. Development of spa and medical tourism through survey and identification of tourism potentials focused on this tourism destination;
5. Attracting investments, grants and government programs for the development of tourism industry through contracting, exchange of researchers between the institute and development partners, and writing projects;
6. Representing the country more in the international arena through website and social networking;
7. Find a sustainable position in the global tourism market by improving the quality of tourism services, promoting tourism attraction and participating in international tourism exhibitions;

8. Create an environment that meets the needs of international tourists by improving the quality of tourism services and improving the composition of tourism goods and infrastructure;
9. Training of highly qualified specialists in the field of tourism by exchanging internships and improving the quality of tourism education in MTOK;
10. Increasing the number of tourism companies through state support for the development of new tourist destinations and establishing incentives for tourism businesses;
11. Identifying and mobilizing opportunities to increase the share of tourism in GDP and GNP due to the priority of tourism in the structure of economic sectors;
12. Through cooperation with domestic and foreign financial institutions, increasing the level of whaling increases the share of tourism in the State Budget;
13. Increase in the number of jobs through the expansion of tourism infrastructure and training of guides and interdisciplinary staff of tourism services;
14. Utilizing the experience of tourists between sister cities using each other’s experience and concluding cooperation agreements in tourism;
15.Introduction of new technologies and use of innovative banking services in the sphere of tourist infrastructure maintenance;
16. Prevention of threats by developing prospects for tourism expansion in advanced cities;
17. Development of tourism, hotel business, health, cultural, ecological tourism, etc. between Iran and Tajikistan through introduction of illiterate procedures between the two countries;
18. Strengthening the development of international tourism through MBA program;
19. Based on the presentation of tourism company “ HalalTrip” introduction of digitalization of tourism services;
20. Organization of tourist routes for tourists of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tajikistan in the summer period on the basis of mutual agreements;
21. Organization of a train on the route Dushanbe-Bukhara in order to expand travel of tourists from these two countries with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan;
22. Creation of transit corridors between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of mutual agreements;
23. Strengthening scientific and theoretical aspects of the tourism industry, ensuring its impact on macroeconomic indicators and sustainable development of the country;
24. Based on sectoral studies and surveys assessing the potential of tourism and its impact on the national economy, social sphere, environment.
