On February 9, 2026, a meeting was held between the Rector of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Professor Ubaydullo Asrorzoda, and the Resident Representative of the Asian Development Bank in the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Ko Sakamoto.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the International Forum titled “Cooperation for Sustainable Development: Green. Digital. Smart,” which is scheduled to be held on April 14–18, 2026, at the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, in accordance with the approval of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated January 29, 2026, No. 2806 (22.7).
In this regard, issues related to the participation of representatives of the Asian Development Bank in the Forum sessions, as well as joint initiatives for organizing events, were considered. During the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness for close cooperation in holding side events within the framework of the International Forum.
In addition, the parties discussed important matters concerning the preparation, coordination, and implementation of joint projects, as well as aspects of effective project management and institutional capacity development. Special attention was given to priority areas of cooperation in sustainable development, green economy, and modernization of educational infrastructure.
