Visit of the President of the Asian Development Bank to the University

On March 4, 2026, as part of an official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, the President of the Asian Development Bank, Mr. Masato Kanda, visited the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan under the guidance and support of the Government of the country.

As highlighted during the meeting between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Mr. Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Asian Development Bank, the Bank has made a significant contribution to the implementation of important socio-economic programs in the country throughout the years of cooperation. It has supported the implementation of more than 200 projects with a total value exceeding 2.9 billion US dollars.

During his visit to the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, the President of the Asian Development Bank, Mr. Masato Kanda, became acquainted with the university’s educational opportunities and modern infrastructure. In particular, the distinguished guest visited the University’s Skills Development, Vocational Training, and Service Center and familiarized himself with its activities, which are aimed at developing practical skills and preparing competitive specialists for the labor market.

As part of the presentation, the guest was introduced to the center’s educational opportunities, modern equipment, and training programs designed to enhance the professional skills of students and citizens.

The Rector of the University, Mr. Ubaydullo Asrorzoda, expressed his readiness to expand cooperation with international organizations, including the Asian Development Bank, in the areas of educational infrastructure development, implementation of innovative projects, and strengthening human resource capacity.

The visit of the President of the Asian Development Bank to the university is regarded as an important step toward strengthening international cooperation and supporting sustainable development initiatives in the field of education.
