On March 5, 2026, a ceremonial event dedicated to Mother’s Day was held at the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan with special grandeur and in accordance with national traditions and customs.
The festive gathering was attended by the university rector, members of the administration, invited guests, faculty members, staff, as well as women and female students of this center of science and education.
In his opening speech, the Rector of the University, Professor Ubaydullo Sattor Asrorzoda, sincerely congratulated all women, female staff members, and female students of the university and its branches in the Khatlon and Sughd regions on the occasion of Mother’s Day. He emphasized that mothers are the embodiment of love, kindness, loyalty, patience, and tolerance, and the shining light of every Tajik family. Through the pure milk and heartfelt prayers of mothers, children find the path to happiness, and society prospers through their presence.
It was noted that mothers play an unparalleled role in education, the upbringing of the younger generation, and the development of the beloved homeland. Considering the high status and valuable contribution of women and mothers to the political, economic, social, and cultural life of the country, the Government has consistently placed the protection of their rights and interests at the center of its policies.
As the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, has stated:
“A mother is the light of the home, the sun of her children’s happiness and prosperity, and the source of love and affection in society. Supporting mothers and women, enhancing their status and dignity, and creating decent living conditions for this important segment of society are among the priority directions of state policy.”
The Rector proudly stated that the number of women in leadership positions, among faculty members, and researchers at the university continues to grow each year. Women holding academic degrees and titles make significant contributions to educational and scientific activities through their knowledge, experience, and professional skills. Alongside the university’s development, they also play an important role in advancing the country’s science and education system and in training highly qualified specialists.
It was also emphasized that the number of female students from all regions of the republic is steadily increasing. Through their intelligence, perseverance, dedication, and strong will, they are becoming the future builders of the nation and serve as role models in various fields of science, professions, and crafts. The university leadership regards their achievements as a sign of the institution’s growth and the development of the country’s scientific and cultural community.
The event continued with a speech by veteran worker and active public figure Rafiqa Musoeva, who warmly congratulated women and mothers on Mother’s Day. In her remarks, she expressed gratitude to the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, for his constant care, special attention, and ongoing support for women and mothers. It was also emphasized that during the years of independence, the status of women in society has significantly improved, and favorable conditions have been created for their effective participation in all spheres of public life.
At the conclusion of the official part of the event, a number of active female employees and teachers of the university were honored with certificates of appreciation and one-time financial assistance.
The cultural program continued with performances by renowned artists of the country and colorful presentations by students, delighting the audience and creating a festive atmosphere filled with respect and warmth.
