HONORING THE MEMORY OF THE GREAT FIGURES OF TAJIK HISTORY

On May 22, 2026, the leadership, faculty members, and staff of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan visited the Luchob Memorial Cemetery in Dushanbe to pay tribute to the distinguished sons of the nation.

As part of this patriotic and spiritual initiative, participants visited the graves of the Heroes of Tajikistan, Nusratullo Makhsum and Shirinsho Shotemur, as well as the prominent historical figure Nisor Muhammad. By laying wreaths and flowers, they honored and commemorated their noble legacy.

It was emphasized that honoring the contributions of historical personalities and devoted sons of the nation is one of the key elements in strengthening national self-awareness, fostering patriotism, and promoting respect for the values of Tajik statehood. This initiative was carried out in line with the cultural and historical policies of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and plays an important role in the moral and patriotic education of society, especially the younger generation.

It was also noted that it was through the initiative of President Emomali Rahmon that the remains of these distinguished national figures were returned to their homeland, and their names continue to be honored with special respect as fighters for freedom, independence, and national statehood.

During the ceremony, tribute was also paid to other prominent representatives of Tajik science, culture, and literature, reaffirming respect for the nation’s historical and cultural heritage.
