On May 23 of this year, the opening ceremony of the 6th Republican Olympiad of students of higher professional education institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan in mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, information technologies, and geography was held at the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan. The Olympiad is organized to compete for the “Rectorate Cup of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.”
The opening ceremony was attended by Saidullo Zuvaid Quvvatzoda, Head of the Department of Education and Science of the Directorate of Education, Culture, and Information of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Doctor of Political Sciences; the university administration; the First Deputy Director of the National Testing Center under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan; representatives of relevant ministries and agencies; faculty members, experts, and students from higher education institutions across the country.
In his opening and congratulatory speech, the Rector of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Professor Ubaydullo Sattor Asrorzoda, noted that thanks to the continuous support and attention of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, science and education have become priority areas of state policy. Today, all necessary conditions have been created for young people to study exact sciences and modern technologies.
It was reported that the Olympiad is being held in an atmosphere of healthy competition, where participants compete in mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, information technologies, and geography. The winners will be awarded diplomas, certificates of appreciation, commemorative gifts, and the “Rectorate Cup of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.”
It should be noted that this academic Olympiad is conducted in coordination with the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and is administered and concluded by the National Center under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The main objective of the Olympiad is to strengthen scientific outlook, develop creative and analytical abilities, attract more young people to the study of natural and exact sciences, and contribute to the implementation of the Program for the Development of Natural, Exact, and Mathematical Sciences in the Republic of Tajikistan.
