Дар солҳои Истиқлолияти давлатӣ ва гузаштан ба иқтисоди бозорӣ, Тоҷикистон ба зиддиятҳои мураккаби иқтисодӣ, иҷтимоӣ, сиёсӣ ва бӯҳрони иқтисодии ҷаҳонӣ нигоҳ накарда, ба натиҷаҳои муайян муваффақ гашт. Дастовардҳои бузурги иқтисодии имрӯзаи кишварамон низ бозгӯи он аст.
Дар ҳақиқат таърихи ҷомеаи ҷаҳонӣ исбот намудааст, ки имконияти рушди ҷабҳаҳои мухталифи иҷтимоӣ-иқтисодии ҷомеа дар мавриде пайдо мешавад, ки агар дар кишвар сулҳу ризоият танинандоз бошад. Воқеан ҳам, муҳити софу созгори ҷомеа яке аз омилҳои муҳими инкишоф аст.

Маҳз, Иҷлосияи XVІ-ум (аз 16 ноябр то 2 ноябри соли 1992)» ва сипас имзои Созишномаи умумӣ дар хусуси барқарор кардани сулҳ ва ризоияти миллӣ дар Тоҷикистон (27 июни 1997)» чун омили ниҳодии дарозмуддати ташкили муносибатҳои иҷтимоӣ-иқтисодӣ, фарҳангӣ ва сиёсии солим хидмати таърихӣ намудааст.
Маҳз натиҷаи фазои ороми кишвар ва ваҳдати саросари мардуми шарифи Тоҷикистон буд, ки ҷабҳаҳои гуногуни ҳаёти иҷтимоию иқтисодии мамлакат бемайлона рушд карданд. Бояд таъкид намуд, ки солҳои охир ваҳдати миллӣ дар инкишофи ҳаёти иҷтимоию иқтисодии кишвар таҳкурсии боэътимод шуда, афзудану беҳтар шудани сатҳу сифати арзишҳои модии ҷомеа ба як омили бунёдии бузург табдил ёфтааст. Ин маънои онро дорад, ки ваҳдат чун андешаи миллӣ ба аслҳои бунёдӣ ва ё ташкили ҳаётӣ, ки бо фитрату тафаккур ва руҳияи миллатамон мутобиқ шуда, ҳадафи амалигардии он асосан барои оянда равона шудааст, сурат гирифта истодааст.
Дарки воқеии андешаи ваҳдати миллӣ имконият додааст, ки ғояҳои иқтисодии мамлакат, ки дар Конститутсияи мамлакат дарҷ ёфтаанд, рӯи кор ояд. Пайваста бо пойдору устувор шудани ваҳдати миллӣ раванди амалигардии ғояҳо ва ҳуқуқи иқтисодию иҷтимоӣ, ки дар Конститутсияи кафолат дода шудааст, амалӣ шуда истодаанд. Яъне “Аз дохили худ инкишоф ёфтан ва тараққӣ кардани мамлакат бояд роҳнамоӣ тамоми сиёсати дохилӣ ва хориҷии мо бошад ва ҳама касоне, ки ободӣ ва шукуфоии Тоҷикистон барояшон қиммат аст, онро дастури фаъолияти худ қарор диҳанд”.
Чи тавре, дар боло ишора намудем ваҳдати миллӣ дар меҳвари ғояи миллӣ қарор гирифтааст. Ваҳдати миллие, ки дар ҷомеаамон пойдор шуду дар касб кардани зинаҳои олии худ қарор дорад, нахуст неъмати ҷамъиятӣ – сармояи иҷтимоӣ (таҳкурсии боэътимоди рушди ҷабҳаҳои мухталифи ҷомеа) арзёбӣ мегардад, ки онро бояд ҳар як фарди ҷомеа на танҳо дарк кунад, балки ҳифз ҳам намояд. Ваҳдати миллӣ ба омили ниҳодии дарозмуддати ташкили муносибатҳои иҷтимоӣ ва иқтисодии солим ва афзун кардани бойгари ва инкишофи иқтисоди табдил ёфтааст. Ба хотири бузургдошти ҷашни Ваҳдати миллӣ Асосгузори сулҳу ваҳдати миллӣ, Пешвои миллат, Президенти Ҷумҳурии Тоҷикистон, мӯҳтарам Эмомали Раҳмон таъкид мекунад, ки « ҷомеа ё миллате, ки ғояи ваҳдати миллӣ надорад, ҳамеша эҳтимолияти ба бӯҳрони сиёсӣ, фарҳангӣ, иқтисодӣ ва иҷтимоӣ гирифтор шуданаш мавҷуд аст».
Ҷомеашиносон тасдиқ намуданд, ки рафтору кирдори фардӣ, гурӯҳӣ ва оммавии одамон, алоқаҳои солими мутақобилаи онҳо заминаи иҷтимоӣ дар равандҳои иқтисодӣ буда, соҳаи нисбатан мустақилро чун иқтисодиёт ташкил медиҳад. Бинобар ин, нақши инсон, ҷоме ва сатҳи комили муносибатҳои иҷтимоӣ-фарҳангӣ ва иқтисодӣ бояд дар маркази идеологияи миллӣ қарор гирад. Миллати тоҷик аз азал ваҳдадофар буда, шиори умумии ваҳдатро аз забони Ҷалолиддини Балхӣ: «Мо барои васл кардан омадаем»-ро тарафдорӣ намудаанд.

Мақсад аз ин навсозиҳо шинохти иқтисоди Тоҷикистон ҳамчун як кишвари пешрафта ва мавриди таваҷҷӯҳ қарор гирифтани он мебошад.
