Information about the institute
The Tourism Institute of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan was established on the basis of the decision of the Government of Republic of Tajikistan on the March 30, 2024, No. 199 “On the Charter of the State Institution “International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan””. The institute prepares highly qualified specialists of the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels in the following specialties:

Throughout the period of its activity, the tourism institute has implemented a deep strategy of training highly qualified specialists in the field of international tourism, management in the tourism sector, organization and promotion of activities in the direction of hotel and restaurant business, ecological tourism, and has systematically continued practical and targeted measures in this direction. is standing.
Currently, the institute has four departments – two specialized departments and two university-wide departments. Faculty departments are headed by eminent scientists in the fields of tourism, medicine, sports, sociology, such as candidates of science, associate professors, doctors of science, professors..

The highest governing body of the institute is the Council of University Scientists, the Council of Scientists of the Institute and its directorate. The council of scientists of the institute consists of 13 scientists, and the head of the women’s council and the head of the youth organization of the institute are also members of it.
Promotion of education and training, educational-methodical, scientific-research, project development, conducting foreign relations is considered one of the important directions of activity of the institute’s administration. In the management structure of the institute, the deputy directors for education, training, science and foreign relations are responsible for these departments.

The educational process at the tourism institute is based on the State Standard of Higher Vocational Education in the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Standard of Higher Vocational Education for institutions with international status in the Republic of Tajikistan. Scientific and research activity of the institute
Scientific-research and scientific-methodological work is one of the main areas of activity of the scientific-teaching staff of the institute. The scientific and teaching staff of the institute try to widely use the results of their scientific-methodical and scientific-research work in the educational process. The single scientific-research topic of the institute is “Conceptual development of activities of training of qualified personnel taking into account tourism developments and characteristics of tourism in Tajikistan”, scientific researches of teachers are conducted under this topic. Depending on the single subject, the subordinate departments of the faculty carry out scientific work under separate research sub-topics..
International relations
The administration of the institute has established mutually beneficial relations in order to effectively establish cooperation in the direction of training, academic exchange, implementation of joint projects, organization of joint scientific and educational events within the framework of cooperation agreements of the university with educational and scientific institutions of far and near abroad. In particular, the institute cooperates with the International Academy of Tourism of Russia, the State University of Tourism and Services of Russia, the City University of Malaysia, the International University of Tourism and Hospitality of Kazakhstan, the National University of Azerbaijan, the Research Institute for the Study of Problems of Cultural Heritage Objects and Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the University of Genoa.
