On December 20, 2025, the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan officially launched a competition (Olympiad) among 11th-grade students of general secondary education institutions in the city of Dushanbe for the “Rector’s Cup of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.”
The Olympiad is being held within the framework of the Action Plan for the “Twenty Years of Study and Development of Natural, Exact, and Mathematical Sciences in the Field of Science and Education.” Its purpose is to identify, support, and develop young talents, as well as to strengthen students’ interest in the study of mathematics, exact sciences, and natural sciences.
The opening ceremony of the Olympiad was attended and addressed by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for Social Issues and Public Relations, Rahmonzoda Abdullo Kurbonali; the Director of the National Testing Center under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jafarzoda Sabzali Fayzali; and the Rector of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Professor Asrorzoda Ubaydullo Sattor.
In their speeches, it was emphasized that holding such Olympiads contributes to the implementation of state policy in the development of science and education, the training of highly qualified specialists, and the education of the younger generation in the spirit of a commitment to knowledge.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Agency for Supervision in the Field of Education and Science under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, education authorities of Dushanbe districts, Centers for the Identification and Development of Talents, executive bodies of state authority of the capital’s districts, teachers, and approximately 1,000 students.
It should be noted that the results of the Olympiad will be summarized in subsequent stages, and the winners will be awarded prizes and the “Rector’s Cup of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.”
