On April 18, 2026, within the framework of the International Forum “Cooperation for Sustainable Development: Green. Digital. Smart,” foreign guests arrived in the ancient city of Khujand to participate in the international conference entitled “Environmental and Economic Aspects of Sustainable Development of International Tourism in the Context of Digitalization.”
The guests were warmly welcomed by the leadership of the Khujand International Institute of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan. During the reception, the parties paid special attention to strengthening international cooperation, developing the tourism sector, and exchanging experience in the application of digital technologies.
During the visit, the guests were accompanied by the Rector of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, Professor Ubaydullo Sattor Asrorzoda, as well as representatives of the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Executive Authority of Sughd Province.
It was emphasized that the organization of international-level events of this kind creates favorable conditions for expanding scientific and practical cooperation, attracting investment, and ensuring the sustainable development of the tourism sector in the era of globalization and digital transformation.
The guests also became acquainted with the institute’s educational opportunities, modern infrastructure, and scientific achievements, expressing their readiness to further develop cooperation in the future.
