On April 17, 2026, the International Institute of Levakant of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan hosted an international master class entitled “Intercultural Communication in Tourism and Hospitality Management” within the framework of the international forum “Cooperation for Sustainable Development: Green. Digital. Smart.”
The event was organized at the initiative of the Republican Center for Advanced Training of Personnel in Tourism and Service Sectors under the university. Its purpose was to enhance the theoretical and practical knowledge of specialists in the field of intercultural communication and to promote the implementation of modern international practices in tourism and hospitality.
During the master class, distinguished foreign scholars and experts delivered presentations and shared advanced professional experience. Among them were Jānis Bikše, researcher at the ViAZI Research Center of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences (Latvia), Dr. Agita Līviņa, Doctor of Economic Sciences, and Mahendra Reddy, representative of the University of Karnataka (India). Their presentations focused on key issues of intercultural communication development, improving service quality, and adapting international standards in the tourism sector.
More than 40 employees, lecturers, and students specializing in tourism actively participated in the master class, enhancing their knowledge and professional skills. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the experiences of developed countries and engage in the exchange of ideas.
At the conclusion of the event, all participants of the international master class were awarded certificates issued by the Center.
