The International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, acting as the national coordinator of the international ranking system “UI GreenMetric World University Rankings,” has signed a cooperation agreement with Bokhtar State University named after Nosiri Khusrav to promote the integration of the country’s higher education institutions into the global community of “green universities.”
The agreement is aimed at strengthening cooperation in implementing international sustainable development standards, enhancing environmental policies, advancing digitalization, improving resource management efficiency, and preparing higher education institutions for participation in the international UI GreenMetric ranking.
Within the framework of this cooperation, the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan will provide methodological and advisory support to Bokhtar State University in adapting its activities to the requirements of the UI GreenMetric ranking. This includes improving indicators related to environmental sustainability, green infrastructure, energy efficiency, waste management, sustainable transportation, and the promotion of environmental awareness and culture.
The parties also expressed their readiness to implement joint initiatives in the areas of sustainable development, green economy, scientific research, and the organization of forums, seminars, and international events.
It is worth noting that, as the national coordinator of UI GreenMetric, the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan continuously undertakes practical measures to encourage the participation of higher education institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan in this prestigious international ranking. The university also contributes to the development of a modern “green university” model and to enhancing the international reputation of the country’s higher education institutions.
